Youth Week 2012 - Love the Skin you're In !

What does Love the Skin you're in mean to the young people and adults of New Zealand? We asked our Facebook community to let us know what loving the skin you're in truly means to them. We recieved heaps of positive feedaback! Check out these two positive and vibrant messages you helped us create:

Youth

Be happy and proud of who you are, and what you bring to society. Engage in the activities you love. Be true to yourself, and to others. Lift your head high and showcase your talents. Be positive. Take care of yourself. Reach out and encourage others to reach out. Support your friends. Stay healthy. Celebrate who you are, there is only one YOU. Live like you are a legend!

Adults

Be a positive role model. Value the efforts of young people. Be comfortable in your own skin. Be open and understanding. Listen – really listen! Encourage young people to share their stories, and get inspired to share yours. Be supportive. Build self-confidence. Empower young people. Praise and trust. Join in with the activities young people enjoy. Encourage and reassure. Reach out to young people. Ensure that young people know they are important, cared for, and loved. Be positive.
